The seek and find box can be used to do two things, either to go direct to the verse you would like or to search for a word or phrase.

GOING DIRECT TO A PASSAGE
Select the version of the Bible you would like to use from the drop down list. This list contains versions of the Bible in English and in other languages. If the version name does not contain the name of a different language then you know it is in English.

Once you have selected the version of the Bible you would like to use click on the box which has the word "reference" in it and type in the reference of the passage you would like to go to. We have taken great care to identify the many ways you might like to refer to a passage. Here are three examples of what you could type in to find a passage in the book of 1st John, though there are many other ways:

• 1st John 1:6
• 1stjn1:6
• 1 Jn 1:6
• 1 John 1
• 1jn1

Once you have selected your book and typed in the reference click on the "search" button and you will be taken straight to the passage.

SEARCHING FOR A WORD OR PHRASE
To find all the passages containing the particular word or phrase select the version of the Bible you would like to use from the drop down list.

Once you have done this type the word or phrase you are searching for into the box which says "search" in it and then click the "search" button.
